Q.1 What is the difference between an Aeronautical Engineer and Pilot ?
Aeronautical engineer basically designs develops and manufactures the aircraft and allied flying objects but does not pilot it. The pilot need not be knowledgeable about engineering of the aircraft but should be proficient in flying the aircraft. Knowledge in each other fields though is not essential but it is desirable
Q.2 What are eligibility criteria required to be an Aeronautical Engineer?
10 +2 pass with minimum 50 % marks in each subject (PCM) is the eligibility criteria. 10th pass students can enroll for aeronautical engineering through diploma courses.
Q.3 Are these degrees / diplomas recognized by UGC/ AICTE / Ministry of Education etc?
These are recognized by Govt of India as equivalent to BE/ B Tech from Indian Universities. Students passing these exams can also pursue higher studies or appear for Public Services Commission exams or seek Govt / Private jobs.
Q.4 What are various job opportunities one can get / have after successful completion of the course ?
Candidates who successfully completed Section A&B of Associate Membership examination conducted by the AeSI are treated at par with those holding a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from an Indian University for recruitment to superior posts and services under the Central Government. Students who have completed this course have been successful in the GATE, and completed M. Tech. or have gone for further studies abroad. Those who have successfully completed section A&B examination of the Society are occupying responsible posts in H.A.L, Indian Airlines, Air India, Pawan Hans, D.R.D.O., N.A.L., Aeronautical Development Establishment, Civil Aviation Department, ONGC, IAF, Army, Navy, Coast Guard, BEL, BHEL and some more of the reputed organisations and establishments. After completion of AMAeSI Engineering Degree one may appear for M. E. / M. Tech. or Examinations like I. A. S. / I. E. S. / I. A. F. / M. P. S. C. / U. P. S. C. and many more. One may also apply for the posts in State / Central Govt. or Public Sector Organisation where necessary qualification of B. E. / B. Tech. is required.
Q.5 Can Aeronautical Engineer apply for Post-graduation in India or abroad?
These degrees are equivalent degrees to BE / B Tech and the students passing these exams can pursue higher studies in India & abroad.
Q.6 What about the core faculty? Are they specialized & highly experienced ?
Faculty is well qualified and experienced in teaching. They have devised an unique method of teaching and examination pattern to increase the passing percentage.
